Blackjack
Some researchers believe that Vingt-et-Un originated with a wooden blocks game that Roman soldiers played during lulls in their military campaigns. It pops up as Vingt-et-Un in the 1600s and by the 1700s it was one of the most popular games at Riviera Casinos, after royal visitors from the Court of King Louis XV introduced it to casino patrons.
By the 1800s blackjack had migrated to the American West and it was a favored game among ranchers and other settlers. When casinos were built in Vegas, the casino operators instituted table limits to enable high-stakes players to reach the tables – and to enable the casinos to make blackjack one of their most lucrative game options for the casinos.
Thanks to today’s online casino, it is now possible for all gamers to play. Regardless of the number of patrons sitting at a blackjack table, there’s always room for more. Some of the Grande Vegas’s blackjack choices include:
21
21 is the classic blackjack game. When you play this game, you have one simple goal – to build a hand that comes as close to 21 points as possible without going over 21. Simultaneously, you want to beat the dealer’s hand. To play 21, make a bet and receive your initial two cards – one card that is “up” and a hidden card that is “down.” The dealer receives the same.
If either of those deals involves a face card (Jack, Queen and King) and an ace, that’s an immediate 21 points and you’ve scored Blackjack and you win. If the dealer has a blackjack, he wins. The Ace is worth either 1 or 11 points and you can choose the value of the Ace.
After the initial deal, you can start to request “hits” – additional cards – to increase your total hand value. Everytime you receive another card you need to decide whether or not you want to “stand” or “take another hit.” You are trying to stay as close to 21 as possible without going over 21.
After you finish, the dealer builds his hand and when he’s finished, the two hands are compared. If there’s a tie, the dealer wins.If either side went over 21, at side loses. If neither of these events occurs, the side that came closest to 21 without going over wins.
Suit ‘Em Up Blackjack
Suit ‘Em Up Blackjack is an interactive blackjack variation that allows you to double, split or double after a split. Beyond that, you play the game as you would play a regular game of 21.
Suit ‘Em Up blackjack features a side bet that allows you to bet on whether your first 2 cards will be of the same suit. This side bet is a separate wager and isn’t connected to the regular game bet. That means that you might win or lose the side bet but still go on to win the game bet. Or, you might win both bets!
In Suit ‘Em Up blackjack, suited hands will pay out based on the suit. A suited 21 pays 10 to 1, a suited pair will pay 5 to 1 and suited Ace pairs will pay 60 to 1.
Let ‘Em Ride
Let ‘Em Ride blackjack features a progressive jackpot in which a portion of your bet goes to fund the progressive jackpot prize. As you add to the jackpot, so do players who are playing around the world so the jackpot continues to grow until someone triggers it to collect the hundreds or even thousands in jackpot reward.
Let ‘Em Ride blackjack combines elements of both blackjack and poker. To start playing, place 3 equal bets and you’ll receive 3 “up” cards and 2 “down” cards. Now you can place your bet (though you don’t have to – that’s called “Letting It Ride.) The first of the 2 hidden cards is now revealed.
Here, you can place a second bet or, again, Let It Ride. When the second hidden card is turned over, payouts will be made according to the casino’s pay table, which bases the payings on poker-like combinations.
The progressive jackpot prize can trigger at any time.
Enjoy a genuine blackjack event with cash payout rewards when you play at the Grande Vegas online casino.
